I have been a sports aficionado all my life - both as an enthusiastic participant and follower of games like hockey, football, cricket and others. However, in indoor games, chess has always fascinated me as it suited my temperament. What started as a hobby, gradually turned into a passion especially after my brief stint in competitive chess. For this change, I am grateful to the opportunities provided by my employer, the Railways and the company of equally passionate team-mates.
