TRAI recommends 6 percent license fee on Internet phone calls

In its recommendations, telecom regulator TRAI proposed to impose a license fee on Internet telephone calls, apart from imposing a revenue-sharing model. TRAI has also recommended that VoIP calls made from personal computers should be permitted to end on devices beyond fixed-line and mobile phones.
