Topics Selected for AAMI 2016 Educational Sessions

More than 50 proposals were accepted for presentation at the AAMI 2016 Conference & Expo. During the conference, which will be held June 3-6 in Tampa, FL, healthcare technology management (HTM) experts and leaders will discuss virtually every major issue facing the field. The educational sessions and workshops fall within six major themes: trends, innovations, opportunities, and threats in HTM; essential skills and knowledge; patient safety; imaging technology; cross-department collaboration; and professional development. "We have worked hard to select a schedule of educational sessions that will broaden attendees' knowledge whether they are seasoned professionals, students, or new to the profession," said Tirza Lofgreen, AAMI's director of education. "As always, there will be a number of 'can't miss' sessions within each theme topic. I'm excited for attendees to see what's in store." Here are just a few of the planned sessions.
