Jordan launches new NIE handbook in Arabic

Jordanian teachers have produced a new guide-to help their counterparts in the region use newspapers as a tool for media literacy as well as a supplemental NIE (newspapers in education) classroom text for many other subjects. Authors of the guide are Ahmed Zalat and WAN-IFRA Teacher Ambassadors Raja'a Al Khatib and Ghada Qaquish, with core material by Gerard van der Weijden of STEPP, Belgium. The Center for Defending the Freedom of Journalists (CDFJ) published the guide, which is available for free.
