4 May deadline for 2012 World Young Reader Prizes

Categories for this year's competition are for innovation in editorial, making the news (youth learning about journalism by doing), newspapers in education (NIE), public service and brand. We will again give a "Natasa Prize" to a newspaper printing plant that runs a programme teaching the young about journalism, special prizes for a project that continues enduring excellence over many years, and name a World Young Reader Newspaper of the Year. This year's prizes will be awarded at WAN-IFRA's first Asia-Pacific Young Reader Summit, set for 10 and 11 July in Bangkok.
