摘要

A finite element approach to the simulation of piezoelectricnvibrator gyroscopes is presented for characteristic prediction. Thenformulation is given including the effect of Coriolis force due tonrotation for a piezoelectric thin plate, which is considered to bentwo-dimensional in plane vibration. For numerical examples, thengyroscopes of a thin square plate, and a cross-bar and a ring built innthe plate are considered, which pave the way for the development of thengyroscopes of monolithic configuration. The effect of the rotation onnthe modal shapes, the resonant frequencies, and the transmissionncharacteristics are discussed demonstrating the sensing capabilitynagainst the rotation
