Quadratic solitons with gain and loss

摘要

Propagation of soliton signals in quadratic nonlinear media undernconditions for second-harmonic generation in the presence ofnmultiple-frequency-band absorption and amplification is addressed. Thenreshaping and energy redistribution of the multiple-frequency solitonsnunder the action of the single-band loss and gain is investigated andnshown in detail. New chirped localized solitary-wave solutions thatnexactly compensate loss and gain are presented. Practical implementationnconditions are discussed
