A fixed-frequency modified (LCL-type) series-resonant converternwhich uses a capacitive output filter is analysed using the Fouriernseries approach. Based on the analysis a simple design procedure isngiven. Detailed SPICE simulation results are presented for the designednconverter to evaluate its performance for varying input supply voltagenand for load variation. Experimental results obtained from a MOSFETnbased 500 W, 115 V output converter are presented to verify thenanalysis. The converter operates in lagging power factor mode for a verynwide variation in the load and the supply voltage and is suitable fornhigh voltage output applications
