摘要

The method of determination the potential abundance and biomass of benthos-eating fishes in inland waters includes analysis of feeding base of a water body and size and age structure of fish populations. First of all, total bioproduction of all forage macrozoobenthos, which is used by fishes in standard, plastic and generative metabolism, over the vegetation period is calculated. Further, considering biological characteristics of the studied species and fluctuations of environmental factors, total number of individuals of all species in a water body is calculated. Finally, on the basis of the relative abundances and average mass of each species in catches, total biomass of fishes and separate species in a water body is determined. This method accounts peculiarities of biology of the considered fishes and thus provides higher accuracy as compared with standard fishery methods which are based only on calculation of general forage coefficient.
