Waiting for Canada's Climate Change Plan

Since the Conservative government of Stephen Harper was elected on January 23, 2006, Canadians have been waiting for the government's plan to fight climate change. Part of the Conservative platform during the federal election campaign was a vow to break Canada's commitment to the Kyoto Protocol, whose targets it considers "unrealistic and unattainable," and propose a made-in-Canada approach to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
