What do you do if you're faced with a medical emergency outside doctor's office hours? Most people - probably including your employees and you - have little choice but to head for the nearest ER. But emergency room visits are inconvenient. Worse: They're expensive. Heavy ER use by employees drives up your cost of health insurance - directly, if you self-insure; indirectly, if you don't. Wouldn't it be nice if employees had another choice when suffering from that unusual bout of nausea, or that headache that won't respond to aspirin?
