Philadelphia Redevelopment Will Generate Economic Activity, New Property Tax Revenue, Study Shows

Philadelphia Housing Authority (PHA) construction plans through 2011 will generate increased residential market value of $255 million beyond the overall growth expected in Philadelphia during this period, according to a study prepared by Econsult Corporations for the housing authority. The housing authority, which serves nearly 80,000 persons, plans to invest $519 million at nine sites throughout the city through 2011.
