RENTAL ASSISTANCE DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM

Hud has opened the competitive application period for conversions under the first component of the Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) program. Under the first competitive option, Public Housing Authorities (PHAs) may apply to convert public housing projects to Section 8 project-based assistance, either Project-Based Vouchers (PBV), administered by HUD's Office of Public and Indian Housing (PIH) or Project-Based Rental Assistance (PBRA), administered by HUD's Office of Housing.
