HUD and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) have announced a second round of Fiscal Year 2018 funding through the HUD-Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) Program that will provide an additional 424 vouchers to local public housing agencies. HUD-VASH combines rental assistance vouchers from HUD with case management and clinical services provided by VA. Since 2008, over 93,000 vouchers have been awarded, and approximately 150,000 homeless veterans have been served through the program. More than 600 public housing authorities (PHAs) administer the program. This most recent award includes 25 additional PHAs.
