Since the time this was written and the time you are reading this is longer than it takes a president to tweet, there's no telling what the situation with tariffs will be today. Something that was once described as fluid has become downright tsunami-like in its movement, and on any given day businesses that have to try to navigate the trade winds can find challenges nobody - neither mariner nor merchant - could have ever possibly imagined. So, much of what can be said about the trouble with tariffs is a work in progress, captured in one ephemeral moment and possibly irrelevant the next.
