DCT Civil Engineering, Murphy, P Casey and Hall Construction are pursuing places on a £12 million framework contract covering minor highways works throughout Leeds for the city council. Tenders were due back at the end of September for the deal, which will start in January 2010 and run for two years. Hunter and Leiths are among the firms expected to return bids for a £750,000 scheme for Transport Scotland to reconstruct a section of the A96 Wittet Drive at Elgin. Tenders were due back on September 24 and a decision is imminent with a start on site due in December. BEAR Scotland will supervise the work, which should take six months to complete.
