The modern brand asset, whether it's a new point-of-purchase display, a direct mail piece or an advertisement, passes through many hands during creation and production, and then more hands as it is output to multiple media. All of these hands comprise the brand asset supply chain — a network that connects the client with vendors to help bring an idea to fruition. The typical customer practices some mode of brand asset management that will enable their supply chain to use images and collateral throughout multiple media: the customer's Web site, detailed e-mail promotions or print. However, the process is usually inefficient, which results in loose ends, resource bottlenecks and frustrated clients who would much rather focus on their core competency.
