Having met the chaps behind Storm Audio before actually hearing the equipment they make, I admit I was favourably pre-disposed. They were not merely sociable, they were decidedly un-Gallic in their modesty, their graciousness and their Anglophilia. Crucially, they were also admirably serious about everything: food, wine, watches and, especially, music. While nothing they said to me, with my infantile French, helped me to understand the 'unique selling point' of their V55 Vertigo amplifier, neither did alarm bells ring.
