Letting rip over Pink Floyd

I'm a big fan oiHFN, but I thought the review of the Pink Floyd remasters in the February issue was a bit of a missed opportunity. I am fortunate enough to have the Immersion box sets of both Dark Side Of The Moon and Wish You Were Here and would imagine these stereo mixes to be the definitive versions released so far. I don't have the system or ears to do a proper comparison myself, but I'd love to see a review in which the SACD, Blu-ray 96/24 and vinyl versions were compared, played on a suitably high-end system Incidentally, it's remarkably easy to rip the Blu-ray mixes onto a PC if you are a computer-literate audiophile. It's a two-stage process. First you need to rip the contents of the Blu-ray disc onto your hard drive. I use DVDFab for this, which is available for both Mac and PC, though I'm aware that there are many other alternatives (see www. dvdfab. com).
