Any CD with a bagel for a label, with smoked salmon (aka lox) and cream cheese for the inner tray has to be a spoof, but there's system-checking value here, too. This CD contains 18 parodies in a Jewish humour vein, some from names you know, including Mel Brooks, Tom Lehrer, 'Weird Al' Yankovic and Kinky Friedman. The surprise is that these, and most of the newly-generated tracks, sound incredible. It opens with mind-blowing mono from Mickey Katz, circa 1957, followed by super-wide, live stereo from Allan Sherman. No need to learn Yiddish, either - unlike most audiophile music, this might make you smile.
