Having owned a pair of B&W 803 loudspeakers and being annoyed by the need to be seated in the sweet-spot to enjoy the sound fully, I visited a dealer and listened to a pair of B&W 802s. Yes, they were better than their smaller siblings but, to my ears, they had the same flaw. So I bought a pair of Marten Getz floorstanders, which had great dispersion. However, after a while I began to find their presentation too clinical. I then changed to the Marten Django XL and found less dispersion but an enjoyable sound. To me, listening to music is often a social activity, so a sweet-spot for one person is not optimal.
