摘要

Afew days ago I took a parcel to our local post office. I was sending off some tape recordings that had been made in the early 1970s to a friend so that they could make digital transfers for me. It's perhaps a sign of my age that while I made the recordings in the first place, I no longer have a working reel-to-reel recorder on which to play them.
