Heat Conduction

摘要

The first edition of this book was published 38 years ago. This 5th edition has new problems added at the end of each chapter. The book has more attention to derivation of basic equations and more details in the solution of these equations. Chapter 13 on Heat Conduction in Heterogeneous Media is new, and Chapters 2 and 10 have been expanded. This is a textbook for graduate students. It covers most of the basic topics necessary in a graduate course on conduction heat transfer. The students need to have undergraduate background in thermodynamics and heat transfer, as well as knowledge of advanced calculus.
