Hapag-Lloyd to increase freight rates

The line announced several rate increases as from April 1, 2010, on its routes between Latin America, Europe and Africa. Hamburg based carrier will increase rates by € 250 (US$ 338) per TEU on services from northern Europe to the South American west coast, the Caribbean and the South American east coast. In the opposite direc-tion, it will increase rates by $ 250 per TEU on services from the South American east coast to northern Europe.
