ISN'T IT AMAZING HOW NATURE has a way of getting it just right? If the deer visit your garden, have you noticed how they nibble what they need and leave the rest? Have you observed how flowers blossom, show off their splendor, and know precisely when to fade, leaving you yearning for just a little more? Have you then wondered how to capture natures perfect expression in your weaving? My very favorite garden bush is the Japanese moonlight hydrangea. Marveling at its spring brilliance, I wanted to depict that essence, not just attempt to weave a replica. Although this shawl doesn't represent advances in weaving or any degree of complexity, it's my hope that in sharing my thinking process, you may be able to incorporate my steps in your own project.
