摘要

This paper is an overview of the main Russian control moment gyroscopes (CMG) for spacecraft attitude control systems produced since the time they emerged up to the present day. Design and circuit features, performance details of modern CMGs are presented. Scientific and engineering approaches that have provided high dynamic and accuracy parameters of the latest CMGs are considered. Conclusions are drawn concerning the CMG design principles and prospects for their development.
