The Glass-House Community Led Design training programmernThe next course in The Glass-House design training programme is 'Play by Design', 9-11 March. This course is for groups involved in regeneration projects which include designing an inspiring play area. Subjects covered: 1. How design affects the qualityrnof play 2. How to engage children and incorporate their design ambitions 3. Visits to inspiring play areas, meeting the parents and children who use the space 4. A look at the age range of thosernwho will use the play area and understand the impact that willrnhave on design 5. The advantages and disadvantages of both pre-produced play equipment and user-designed or bespoke play equipment 6. How to set out an action plan for your play area that can be taken back to your local community This is a three day residential course, free for members of community groups involved in local regeneration projects.
