Strong market outlook and steadily growing exports are encouraging manufacturers to step-up production, particularly for connectors in very small form factors.rnTaiwan is well positioned to be a world-leading connector manufacturing center 1n the next few years. The region's overall connector sales grew roughly 30 percent and production value hit $4.1 billion last year, according to the Industrial Economics & Knowledge Center (IEK) of the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI). Interviewed companies alone produce at least 40 million units each per month. More than 70 percent of aggregate sales were generated from exports.
