Li-polymer batteries are expected to gradually replace Li-ion in the wearables industry. To take advantage of this market opportunity, manufacturers in China are continuing to enhance these products' inherent qualities of high capacity, safety, reliability and long operating life, as well as make them ever more lightweight, compact and ultrathin. Compared to their Li-ion counterparts, LiPo batteries offer higher capacity at the same size, exhibit no memory effect and have low flammability because of the polymer electrolytes they use instead of liquid materials. In addition, they can be made in various sizes and shapes.
