Atmosphärische Verdunster nutzen die Temperatur von Elektrolyten und eine kräftige Luftströmung bei geeigneter Bauweise für die Rückführung von Spülwasser. Die aufkonzentrierte Lösung kann dem Prozeßbad wieder zugeführt werden, wobei keine Gefahr besteht, daß Bestandteile durch die Prozedur chemisch verändert werden. Mit dem Prinzip sind bei Rückführungsanteile von weit über 90 % nahezu geschlossene Kreisläufe zu erzielen. The re-concentrated solution can then be returned to the process bath, with no danger of any of the bath components being degraded by the process. Using this technology, much more than 90% of species involved can be recycled to allow almost complete closed-cycle operation. In the case of chromium or nickel plating baths, this results in dramatic savings by reducing the requirement for make-up chemicals.
