The garish spectacle on Nov. 16 recalled an earlier giveaway of airplane tickets on the steps of an Athens courthouse where he was being sued by travel agents. Or his potshot last year at U.S. film distributors, which initially refused to give his EasyCinema theater, in England, first runs because his ticket prices were too low to offer them a decent cut. So Stelios invited moviegoers to donate something on top of the 20 pence (33 cents) price of admission to the Fund for the Protection of Consumers against Hollywood Studios.
