Focusing on Globalization, Governance, and Support of IFT

Since this is my first chance to communicate directly with the en- tire IFT membership, I'd like to take this opportunity to tell you what I plan to pursue in my year as IFT President. As I mentioned at the Opening Session at this year's IFT Annual Meeting, I am interested in focusing on three primary areas: (1) internationalization of IFT, (2) implementation of changes in IFT governance, and (3) gaining the support and participation of top executives in the food industry, government, and academia.
