The permissible charge for acetylene cylinders was specified in different ways by various national regulationsalthough in the course of generating an International and European standard, experts have agreed upon a simpleand appropriate safety concept. This safety concept supersedes the arbitrary free space and/or maximum pressurerequirements in some older national regulations.
