This Guidance Note was revised in 2019 to take account of S.I. No. 282 of 2016 - European Union (NaturalMineral Waters, Spring Waters and Other Waters in Bottles or Containers) Regulations 2016, which revoked theearlier S.I. No. 225 of 2007 - European Communities (Natural Mineral Waters, Spring Waters and Other Waters inBottles or Containers) Regulations 2007 (as amended).For regulatory purposes there are three classes of bottled water: natural mineral water, spring water and ‘otherwater’.
