I was somewhat, surprised to see that the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight's Avro Lancaster has been in for a make-over, gaining new 617 Squadron markings, plus a change of nose art. The Lane undergoes a metamorphosis every few years, but it's normally at the end of the airshow season, rather than during it. PA474's last change - into Phantom of the Ruhr of 100 Squadron - happened during the winter of 2006-2007.
