Stinson Vigilant will rise again

A rare example of a Stinson L-1 Vigilant is nearing completion at Kermit Weeks' Fantasy Of Flight aviation attraction in Polk City, Florida. One of only 324 made, L-140-3102 was built in Nashville, Tennessee, and delivered to the USAAC in August 1941. It remained in the US throughout World War Two and was later sold as surplus. Acguiring the civil registration N63230, it flew as a camera ship with Tallmantz Aviation, wearing various colour schemes, and was at one time mounted on amphibious floats.
