RETURN OF THE SILVER SPITFIRE

It is always a pleasure to be asked to carry out research and oversee the application of a warbird colour scheme and through my position at the Aircraft Restoration Company I have been privileged to do so for many private owners, for our own fleet, projects for Historic Flying Ltd, as well as seven of the fighters and the Dakota of the BBMF. I am usually presented with an outline of the chosen scheme and some historical background. Sometimes it may have an original photograph and at other times a modellers profile illustration. Each project has its own challenges.
