High speed taxi runs for Vulcan and Buccaneer

Avro Vulcan B.2 XL426 completed two fast taxi runs on June 26 at its London Southend Airport home. Maintained in working order by the Vulcan Restoration Trust, the aircraft is one of only three that remain taxiable, the others being XH558 and XM655. Experienced Vulcan pilot Kev Rumens was in the cockpit on the day, alongside Bill Burnett and Jonathan Lazzari. One week later, on July 3, the Buccaneer Aviation Group's Blackburn S.2B Buccaneer XW544 made its inaugural high speed run at Cotswold Airport (formerly RAF Kemble), in Gloucestershire. Previously based at Bruntingthorpe in Leicestershire, the aircraft moved to its new home earlier this year.
