The Italian sense of style and panache is rightly revered - witness everything from its cars to its cuisine - and it's no exaggeration to state that Luigino Caliaro, the nation's finest aviation photographer, brings those same qualities to his work. Luigino, who lives with his family in Monteviale, near Vicenza, has been capturing images of aircraft since 1995. He started out by pointing a camera at various military aeroplanes from the back of an RAF Tucano, and has since gone on to capture a myriad of flying machines, both modern and historic, in their natural element. Luigino undoubtedly brings a particular passion to his work with warbirds, framing his subjects in dramatic, apt settings and atmospheric lighting, and also flying photo sorties with interesting or unusual formations. Over the next ten pages, we present a gallery exhibiting just some of Luigino's exemplary work.
