Easily the most famous USAF combat pilot of the Vietnam War - famed for his tenure at the F-4 Phantom-equipped 8th Tactical Fighter Wing 'Wolfpack' - Col Robin Olds was instrumental in shaping 1967's Operation Bolo. This was the deception mission to shoot down North Vietnamese MiGs through air-to-air combat, by pretending to be bombers rather than fighters. The no-nonsense West Point graduate also gained ace status during World War Two, flying the P-38 and P-51. Enthusiasts can now show their allegiance to this legendary aviator's memory with Flyingraphics' new 100% cotton T-shirt, emblazoned with a well-known photo of Olds clad in flying gear and sporting his trademark moustache. Four MiG 'kills' decorate one side of the image, along with the moniker SCATXXVII, which was the name of his 433rd Tactical Fighter Squadron F-4C, 64-0829. The shirts are available in sizes Small to XXX Large and are screen-printed by hand.
