I was in a hobby shop this past weekend and encountered what I will call the New Breed of Modeler". That en-counter was an eye-opener. He introduced himself to the shop owner and identified himself as someone who had dabbled in control line years ago and now wanted to return to model airplanes in some form or other. He had a few caveats that the hobby shop owner would have to meet, however. First of all, he said, "I'm not very good with my hands and I'm allergic to glue and balsa dust, so I don't want to build anything. I tried that a while back and never did finish the model." Mr. NBM expressed an interest in R/C, but he only wanted something that he could fly immediately and that "wouldn't crash".
