H145 closes on military type approval

Airbus Helicopters has gained European Aviation Safety Agency certification for the military variant of its H145 medium-twin, paving the way for military type approval of the 3.7t rotorcraft. The first two of 15 examples will be delivered to the German air force before year-end, for use in support of special forces missions. The type's second customer, the Royal Thai Navy, will receive its first H145Ms in 2016, says Airbus Helicopters.
