Sherpa climbing camera usage expands within fire services

The Sherpa climbing camera, Excelerate's unique pole climbing system for placing a wide variety of cameras and communications solutions in high positions around incidents, continues to grow in popularity throughout UK fire and rescue services. Royal Berkshire FRS is the first fire service to use Sherpa units for incident ground management. The system is seen as a cost effective solution for the challenge of being able to deploy dual thermal cameras rapidly at incidents for initial high level monitoring of fire and other incident ground activities without having to call in aerial platforms. Sherpa systems can be transported quickly and easily in relatively small vehicles to accompany pumps to fires.
