Fire chiefs welcome inspection learning curve'

Towards the end of last year we saw the publication of the first tranche of inspections carried out by Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire and Rescue Services (HMICFRS). These were the first inspections of fire and rescue services in England for more than a decade; the regime was welcomed and embraced by NFCC and fire and rescue services to support change and help assure services to the public.
