Secretary of State attacks cowboy contractors

Vince Cable, Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, recently met with the Fire Industry Association to discuss a new business to his constituency, the importance of fire safety and how to address the delicate issue of 'cowboy' contractors and the potential hazards that they could instigate.rnDuring his visit, Dr Cable affirmed both his personal concernrnand that of the government that the fire protection in buildings is a life safety issue, and 'cowboy' contractors could therefore be bringing serious dangers to the industry.
