New owners for Cammell Laird

The shipbuilder's new owners are Martin Loveridge, a super-yacht contractor, and Ron Gibbs, a City-based asset-finance lawyer. The pair currently own half of the yards, with the rest transferring this summer. "We are in a shadow-running period right now," Loveridge tells Fairplay. The previous owners have been retained as directors and he praises them for having built up a "solid business," although he tells Fairplay they have not retained any equity.
