Gulf of Guinea countries join forces to cut piracy lifelines

Eight Gulf of Guinea countries have agreed to co-ordinate their maritime security regulations, and will work with partners from the European Union on a programme of coastguard training and knowledge sharing. "The money we are offering is not huge, just €4.5M ($6M) over three years, but it is a good start.
