A year after becoming the chief executive of Damco Asia, the global freight forwarder and logistics provider, Thomas Knudsen is singing a confident tune. "I can hear the machine humming, I can feel we're growing the business again," Knudsen tells IHS Maritime. In his opinion, 2014 marked a year of transition in terms of the company's growth, during which Damco managed to successfully adjust to worldwide conditions. As a result of hard work and diving deep for corporate solutions - after all, his main hobby is SCUBA diving - he sees much stability and more growth ahead in 2015. Knudsen says he likes to challenge himself and is not cowed by difficult conditions or hardship.
