E.R. Schiffahrt plots comeback

Nine years of difficult freight and charter markets in the container and dry bulk shipping sectors have taken their toll on E.R. Schiffahrt, as well as on other leading ship managers and owners in Hamburg. However, the company's CEO Nils Aden is convinced that the worst is over and that growth opportunities are now outweighing further risks. "Our eyes are set on growth again. We want to expand our managed fleet above 100 vessels, there is no question about that," Aden told Fairplay in an exclusive interview.
