WARNING OF ONGOING THREAT TO PARCEL DELIVERY FROM　PHISHING SMS AS FLUBOT SAMPLES CONTINUES TO ‘EMERGE DAILY’

Cybersecurity firm Avast has warned that it sees no end of the parcel delivery phishingSMS threat from a banking trojan called FluBot used to steal credentials and otherpersonal data.Avast says that in recent weeks, mobile users in several countries have beenreceiving SMS messages linking to the Flubot, with the threat pretending to be froma delivery company and asking users to install a tracking app in order to track thestatus of the package, “but in fact is used to steal credentials and other personaldata”.
